Dear Frank, I have a few very rare horticultural ebooks (as PDFs) on my hard drive. Ranging from general gardening to real scientific text about plant tissue culture (cloning), to hydroponics even... And so I was wondering if it would be OK if I uploaded them on a free file sharing site like MEGA, and posted the link in our book's section of the forum? https://mega.co.nz/ What concerns me is the copyright/piracy issue. I of course collected all these books from sites like MEGA and The Pirate Bay - And those sites really have a total disregard for such legalities. So before I even think of doing something like this. I'd like to know where the GardenStew stands on this issue. Thanks.
Hi S-H. Unfortunately I don't think it's worth the risk to post the links here. There is a chance that it could lead to the Stew being hidden from search engines if it were deemed that we were actively promoting illegal downloading of copyrighted material. Sorry to be a wet blanket
It's alright Frank, I understand - This is why I decided to ask about it first, (rather then do something silly, and then apologise later)... Yes, I too really enjoy the friendly environment over here at the GardenStew. So never am I going to put that at risk.
