The world of plants has many hidden facets. While some of us who deal with them on a daily or weekly basis are aware of many of these attributes some are only revealed through hours of research. Did you know some plants dance to music? While other music can kill a plant? That plants have social skills? Or that they have memories? AND…hang on to your hats fellow stewbies, that some even conspire to kill animals? A documentary I watched recently takes us into this unseen realm. Starting off with a story from Africa, straight out of the forensics files for animals. If you are interested and have an hour, see for yourself…….watch “In the mind of plants”. Jerry
Sounds absolutely fascinating Jerry. I'll take a look at it later once I've done some more tidying of my craft room.
cool. I saw a different documentary on plants a while ago that was really fascinating. I hope I can get to this one soon. I am in the middle of the paint job of my remodeled bathroom.... I will hopefully finish that tomorrow and then move on to cleaning my bedroom and the .....basement, and the rest of the house and get rid of some office furniture my, I have a big list. but it needs to be done since I am having overnight guests this weekend. I have a lot to get done.
If you lik the idea of plant talk check out this amazing TED Talk: How trees talk to each other Our world is as amazing as our childlike imaginations thought it was. Life is so incredible.
A very interesting perspective on forests and I'm glad I did not have to fall into an outhouse to learn it. Thank you Jewell, Jerry
I watched both of them and found them very interesting, some was even shocking on the way plants could defend themselves.
