Earlier I had posted about a trip to a rose nursery and coming home with seven roses. One of them was David Austin's Sophy's Rose. She bloomed recently, and I was really taken by surprise at the shape of the petals. The petals are pointed!

Her scent is light, but noticeable, and obviously our bees like her!

I think I've got a crush on her.

I've never seen a beauty like that before. I love scented roses with open centres as the bees can easily get to the pollen. I wonder if there are more with pointed petals out there somewhere.
