Here is a picture I took after a recent rain fall we had. I noticed this spider web bejeweled with water droplets. It looks like little Crystal jewels hung from delicate strings. Spiders are incredible engineers.

They are beautiful until you unknowingly walk into one in the early morning and can't get it all off you face or out of your hair. ;)

Oh yes. I hate that when that happens. I think the spiders are watching and laughing at us waving our arms and swatting at the air. :stew1:

When one can see the webs like that, it just brings back what great architects they are.

    Great observation and photo!!

Many years ago a photographer for Kodak during a an early morning photo class showed us an easy trick if mother nature had not provided the necessary dew to obtain the desired effect. He pulled out a spray bottle of water from his backpack and spraying a nearby bush. The spider's web immediately became apparent and moving to capture the morning sun took a similar picture. I'm not sure that the spider appreciated the bath but I have always remembered the bottle of water.
