Guess who showed up at our feeder today? TWO bluebirds! We don't usually have them appear this late, but they are most welcome. Here is a picture of one in the gum bumelia tree next to the feeder.

Great to have them around anytime of the year. I haven't seen any of these birds.

We usually have them move in early winter but haven`t seen them this year.

What gorgeous little birds they are. We have Bluetits but their colouring doesn't compare to your handsome fellow.

Would be great if they were out this way. Will have to do with what we have.

How nice to see these two. I am a bit concerned at the lateness of the date.
    Fingers crossed for these beauties.

Sjoerd, don't worry--the bluebirds come here to get away from the winter. Although we have breeding pairs in the spring and summer, we get more blues passing through in late fall, which it is here with temperatures in the 50's and plenty to eat.

Oké. Well, I was worried...It just seems so very late. Having said that, I really am not at all familiar with the schedule of the birds there.
As I read your posting on here I can tell you that it is below freezing here and everything is white outside. I popped out to the lottie for a moment today and it was bitter.
