Ya'll this plant is still going when I thought it died 3 or 4 months ago...this is chinese cabbage that I made a home for on the side of a jug hydroponically back in the spring..I kept it by the window and the jug was full of nutrients and thought it was done this summer bit I didn't pull it out (laziness)..went in to get a few leaves of basil for my pasta a couple of weeks ago and Lord and behold..it started greening back up..I think it was the cooler weather...went in today and this is what it looks like...gave it a little more of the nutrients!! and yes the pinkish glow are my grow lights for my new babies from seeds I just moved to their new hydroponic home. ]
I know...Right? You should see it now...it's pulling the net pot out because it's so heavy...time to eat it I suppose.
It looks as though you've got hydroponics down to a fine art if those super healthy plants are anything to go by. Well done you!!
Thanks everyone...this is so much fun and I'm glad that you all are enjoying them as much as I am...one thing is for sure..I'm glad that I have a new phone because the pics are amazingly more clearer than from the old phone. I think I'll keep snapping!!
UPDATE: 1/4/2017.. Look at this Chinese cabbage now...look at the previous pic that I took in November and look at it today!!!
Erm I think it may have grown just a tad. It's beginning to look a lot like a triffid. You're obviously doing exactly what your Chinese cabbage needs.
Wow ! What a result. How large will you let it get before harvesting? Well, you are right--it is pretty.
