I am so tickled at the whole garden this year . Everything looks great and growing like weeds. I think Mike using chicken manure this year is really helping. We've already picked chard twice and broccoli once. The first broccoli heads are huge!

The shiny spots are water drops.

I had a couple of nice broccoli heads, but most of them were uneven. No matter, they keep making more and I will have a lot to freeze. Well done on the brilliant broccoli.

I guess I shouldn't take the credit for them as Mike takes care of the veggy garden. I just pick and preserve it, cook it and enjoy the home grown meals. My job (and joy) is taking care of the flowerbeds.

They are 'Green Magic Broccoli'. I ordered it because of the short time (57 days) to picking. I found out (at least last year) that they keep putting out smaller side florets for a long time. More than enough to freeze to last us 12 months.
