Can you please tell me what is growing in my garden? Is this a cherry tomato plant? There was a cherry tomato plant in the ground a year ago but they don't swell like tomatoes.

There are some varieties called "oak leaf" types,, but this does not look like one to me. Is the main stem slick or does it have a slight fuzz on it ?

Hi Mart, thanks for your comment! There is not fuzz and it's smooth. Also, they are only growing where cherry tomato plants used to be.

All tomato plants that I know of have a slight fuzz on the stems from ground up. If there is one that is slick with no fuzz I am not aware of it . These are tiny almost microscopic hairs along the stem.

It looks like a weed to me. But all tomato plants have a very characteristic odor. Your nose should be able to tell you.

Cayuga, my sentiments exactly. Looks like a weed I have seen growing here in MI.
