My honey and I decided to take a drive to Lake Michigan and walk through the West Lake Gardens. It is free and right on the shore of Lake Michigan so it was cooler. It is all free and taken care of by mostly volunteers. They do an awesome job. So here are quite a few of the pic's I took. Their rose gardens where very impressive. I just wish I could have gotten closer to see if any of them where fragrant. They also had no names on any of the plants.

I guess you will have to view the rest of the pic's in the Thumbnail mode as I can't get them all to insert as full images. Plus I will post the second half of our pic's in #2 of our Garden walk.

Thank you IS. It was a lot of eye candy with all the color combinations they had. Almost a bit of flower overload. But we loved it.

Beautiful roses! I love the 2 bi-colored ones thought the others are just as pretty.

I'm amazed that the gardens were free to get in to. They are beautifully kept and the volunteers are doing a splendid job.

2ofus-the Bi-colored roses where my fav also.

Eileen-Yes it is amazing that it is free and so beautiful. The volunteers do, do a great job. If I lived closer I would probably volunteer also. What a beautiful scene to view as you work.

Netty- yes they are. My Mom could grow some beautiful roses in Arizona. I think part of their success is keeping them a distance apart from each other and having in ground watering system.
