I was doing research on bamboo plants and I THINK I found how to clone my plant to make new ones,I attempted it tonite, but I was also wanting to repot my bamboo.I wanted to use this nice medium sized glass vase,if I fill it half way with soil or marbles then put the bamboo in the middle will it grow that way?The vase doesnt have any holes in the bottom or side,I didnt know if it needed that circulation to continue to grow....let me know please! :stew1: :p :stew1:

we have bamboo growing in soil in an old Pepsi bottle cut down inside a fancy wooden vase, it is about 4 ft tall and is perfectly happy it does not have drainage holes and to be honest it gets forgotten about it a lot of the time , yet it is looking great, we also have some in soil in a plant pot theyre about 2 aand a half foot tall and are looking ok they drain through the pot into the ceramic one i think. Good look with them and i hope they turn out well 8)

I have mine in glass vases with stones. No soil, no drainage holes. They have really grown. They are so easy, I don't really do much for them. They are in bright rooms but not directly in front of the windows. I only add water if I see the level dropping below the roots. I haven't added any fertilizer ever. The oldest one is three years old. Good luck withh yours!

I forgot to add- the vases are clear glass. When I transplant, I add a layer of stone, then place the plant gently in the center, then add more stones carefully all around it. I fill it to root level with water and that's it!
