We acquired 3 banana plants from someone in NJ. They just couldn't keep them. We kept them in the isle of the greenhouse for the winter and took them out mid June. within a week there was a flower and then fruit in just days after that. Last week the second tree got a flower and now more bananas.

Don't know what they will taste like or even if they will come to full term. But it is very cool being in north eastern Pa.

They're looking really lovely. Let us know how the bananas taste. Do you know what type of banana you've got?

I don't know if you can tell by the plant but I do know the most delicious bananas I ever tasted were the little tiny ones. Had them in the Caribbean and they called them "Silkies."
