I am already starting my list of New Years resolutions and being more active in Garden Stew is on the list. I quickly scanned the 900+ posts since my last visit but didn't have time to comment. From my garden to yours...Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Its not a partridge in a pear tree...but Doves in the Dogwood ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) Bluebird and Downy Woodpecker ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) My bluebird of happiness ( photo / image / picture from gfreiherr's Garden ) Wishing you and yours health and happiness
What a beautiful and creative way you have. Your pictures would make great Christmas cards.(Hallmark no less.)
Now there's an idea!! I have a spare Christmas wreath so I'll put it out in the garden the way you have. I'm sure it will be well visited when the birds discover the fat cake in the middle. Great photographs by the way.
Glad to see you posting again, and please keep your New Year's resolution about posting more--your messages are so enjoyable, and pretty, too! I think I'll pick up an extra wreath and put a suet feeder in the middle. I have a spot by the front door that the cardinals like to visit, and maybe a chickadee or two will stop by. Great idea!
Really nice foto's and thanks for the good wishes. Rite backatcher, miss. Hope that you and all your family really have a good x-mas and new year.
Thanks Cheryl, Donna, Eileen, Jane, Frank and Sjoerd. Will check back in when I have more time. I actually got the idea to put up the wreath from Kildale's photos. He always has birds in a wreath this time of year . Sjoerd, I quickly read your post on beekeeping...good luck with that. My friend's daughter just started keeping honeybees in GA, she also does community and coop gardening. You all have a wonderful holiday.
Thanks for the seeds and patches. Just noticed the patches Will have to come back and read about the patches.
A merry Christmas to you too. I have hung a wreath out for the birds for a few years now. You can get some great photos. ( photo / image / picture from Kildale's Garden )
Thanks Theodoros, Waretrop, Kildale & KK. Kildale...I got the idea from seeing your wreath photos :-D
Thank you Gail for letting me know. I try to post things that might give others ideas, all the feeders etc that I post here.
