Halo Halo

Its time for another update for my Aquaponics.Today i just update my indoor system because outdoor Aquaponics have nothing special to update.

For my indoor Aquaponics i have added the seed tray to reduce the algy build up.

I try to plant a lemon grass that i have purchase from groceries store because my wife like the groceries type more than my own house want.
The Lemon grass have start to grow.

Some vegetable is ready to be transplant to seeder tray.

Good Morning ....Another Aquaponics update.

Outdoor relocation from center of the house car park to the side of the car park to get more nature sun light.

Hopefully the Plant will grow batter.

Change my bell sifon system to have a end cup below the socket head to prevent clay pebbles to go in and rearrange the plant but i think they are now having transplant shock at the moment.

They are not doing so great. Only Onion are doing great.

For Indoor i am having some algae problem so what i did for now are buying a 54 seed starter tray to cover it.

The 2nd grow bed not yet cover because the 1st still in testing. will get the cover on this weekend.

Using normal Stone pebbles is not that suitable for my NFT reason are they are heavy.

This week will get the seeder tray and also give an update after everything is completed.

Sorry for the late update.

This is the few thing that i have done for my Aquaponics.

Started a few new seed for the grow bed.

As For Outdoor nothing major have change.

Not sure why my lettuce wount grow already they are stuck at that stage. Check on my narrate are good only thing i suspect are the PH and Light.

Can anybody help me on this ?

PH is around 7 to 7.2
Nitrate is around 20 to 40 PPM
Light source is 18watt florescence light + sun light next to windows.

Will take some photo tonight and post to my blog tomorrow if i can make it in time...

Very happy on the tomatoes start to sprout and hope it will grow well.

Temp the indoor plant is still the same so i dint take any photo or update.

Hi this is another small update on my indoor and outdoor Aquaponics system.

For indoor system there is some progress baby lettuce are growing well.

Forgot to mention that my lettuce are butter head type.

For outdoor I am having the same grow.

Those are the update for now.

Fish are happy
PH
indoor both tank are at 7.2 - 7.5
Outdoor tank are at 7.0

Grow light
using normal 4ft t5 white light.

For the grow light is still in trial and error testing mode.

I have 3 separate grow bed so below are the on and off schedule.

Outdoor on 0700-0000
Indoor 1 on 0700-0000
Indoor 2 on 1800-0700

For outdoor I don't think is a good ideal to on the grow light at night because it will attract a lot of small bug to my plant event with the net some still able to go in.So to reduce it I only on the light during the morning since morning already have indirect sun light.

Hi my name is wang and this is my 1st blog for my aquaponics.

Started my 1st Aquaponics on September 2014 and temp there is not much result.On vegetable only 1 or 2 able to grow.As for the fish i think alot die and alot of learning are needeed in the world of fish.

Let see what type of fish i have when I started my aquaponics. Some feeder fish that look like molly , beautiful guppies, koi , gold fish , ghost shrimp , snakehead frys end of the day none body survive.

Currently i am using wild guppies , Few Gourami and few pencil fish as my fish.The reason why i chose those fish because is cheap and easy to take care.I am not a pro fish care person neither a green finger person.

Try my best to learn as much as posible. Hope I can feed me and my families with fresh own grow green
