Awww thanks everyone. I've missed you all and I'm sooo glad to be back. I still have a few problems to deal with but nothing that will keep me away again (I hope.) It's been a long haul and something I really don't want to ever experience again. Next time I think I have a 'flu virus I certainly won't ignore it. I can, at last, type although I still have nerve damage to some of my fingers so I'm 'pecking' at the keyboard. The doctors hope I'll get full function back over the next couple of months.

Hey, do you mind me asking what it was you were down with? Was it actually flu?...though I didn't know you could get nerve damage from that!

Yeah, I know...really nosy, and it won't offend me at all if you'd rather not say! :D:heart:

Ronni no one seems to know exactly what the virus was I contracted. It began with 'flu like symptoms and progressed into a terrible chest infection. I could hardly breath, which is a horrible experience, then developed into pneumonia. I came out in very itchy blotches (not a rash), some as big as saucers, that drove me mad. As I had no strength to move much and was confined to a chair for weeks, in the same position, the nerves in my neck became affected which caused my hands to go numb and all 'pins and needles'. I still don't have much feeling in my third fingers and pinkies but at least the rest are back to normal. I've been pumped full of steroids, antibiotics, antihistamines and vitamins and dear knows what else. Thankfully they all eventually worked!!
