Lace cap hydrangea - Actual name please?

    I've got a laced cap hydrangea but it would be nice to know the actual name of it please, as it gets quite large :)

    I believe the Latin name is " Hydrangea macrophylla Lanarth White."

    Thank you Eileen, I've searched but there's that many varieties...nice to actually put a name to it now.

    Well my next door neighbour sold her house 4yrs ago and she worked at a garden centre and she brought it home for me before she left and it was in full flower then...yes 4yrs old but what I can't understand about the plant is when she gave it me the centre of the flowers was blue not pink, it seems to flower how it wants and also like this :headscratch:

    Hydrangeas can change colour depending on the PH of your soil Gail so maybe that's why yours have changed from blue to pink.

    Slowly permeable seasonally wet slightly acid but base-rich loamy and clayey soils

    No never only Multi-purpose compost when planting and my plants seem to flourish and love the soil.

    When in the growing season do you add multi-purpose compost?

    No I only add multi-purpose when I add a new plant into the ground but I do feed the plants.

    Hello Petronius am I doing some thing wrong with the plant :headscratch:...I feed them all with "Miracle-Grow" All purpose continuous release plant food.
