Hi @Logan , I have just read that grease bands and tree barrier glues should be placed on trunks and tree stakes in late October, before the adult moths begin to emerge in November. Are we too late?

Also that moth activity declines after January, but some species with wingless females are active until April.

Hi @Kazzawazza it could be too late for the moths in november, but it's still best to put them on for the the wingless females. Thanks.:)

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 4°C and overcast.
We had freezing rain last night, and my dog walk was icy again. I was careful though, and didn't go down. Those skating classes are paying off!
A bunch of things to do today, not really sure where to start.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning all. Netty I usually start the morning here but then I am obsessed with GS. ;)

Yesterday the temp reached 75, today those numbers will be reversed, at least the night time temps will be in the 40's so that will be fairly comfy open window sleeping weather.
I think I have completed the coming years gardening plans.....at least on paper they look good. And if we get more than a week of Spring weather I might get some of them done.

Good afternoon Thursday all. Not doing much in the garden, it's very cold. Doing some tyding up in the house. I have a friend called keith, he has MS and i help him with his card making, I've got a lot of embellishments in containers, so i found places for them instead of being all over the place.

Good day all, it's sunny intervals and light breeze temp 7c
Wanted to do some gardening, but this morning i pulled a muscle in my back, which is annoying.
Ordered 50 snowdrops in the green for £11.98p, if i ordered something for £10.00 i get £5.00 off. That will cover the postage, should come next week sometime.
    Have a good day all.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -18°C and clear. A very cold dog walk this morning and despite being dressed in many layers, my legs and butt are frozen!
Drinking a hot tea now and 'stewing' and trying to warm up. Off to the big city this morning to visit my parents.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning! Today is house cleaning, baking some cheese rolls, picking lettuce and cutting broccoli, and hoping the rain holds off until I get my outside things done. It's only 49 degrees, so I'll have to wear a heavier jacket and I hope not one that is waterproof. When did you hear someone in Texas complain about an overabundance of rain?

Good morning all. When we have an over abundance of rain in my section of Texas then I will complain. But it seems that most of the good stuff lands on other parts and not my yard. But then a rainy day is my second favorite kind of day........a snowy day being my most favoritest!! And one of those has not happened in years.

Errands to run today, the birds and squirrels are almost out of peanuts so a stop at Texas Pecan is first on the schedule, then groceries for the humans, lunch out, might be too early to wander through the garden center anywhere.
