Cleaned out the fridge today and found things cooked within the last few days that I didn`t remember cooking ! Does that mean I spend too much time in the kitchen !
There is no such thing as too much chocolate, too much bacon, or too much time in the kitchen! You are spending just the right amount of time in the kitchen. Keep up the good work! I keep dibs and dabs of leftovers, and once a week we have a "leftover lunch." All the leftovers are put out, and we choose what we want (I always get the clam chowder).
We have a tendency to do that too, with both leftovers and also things I make just to have on hand, like egg salad, chicken salad, pimento cheese, cooked chicken etc. So I designated one specific shelf, and one kind of container for that stuff. It’s the only way I’ve found to not lose track of the immediate edibles in the fridge, that will go off soon if they’re not consumed.
Well Mart...too much time in the kitchen? I dunno, there must be a mathematical formula or ratio for that somewhere.
If so,, I haven`t found it ! AS everyone knows I love a bargain and this week I bought two bags from the produce markdown counter ! Out of those two I got 3 containers of pickled salad, two meals of zuucchini and squash stir fry, 4 lbs of potatoes part which is cooked and in my fridge as mashed potatoes, 2 sleeves of garlic (thats 10 bulbs), part to plant and part I roasted and mixed with an avocado ( also in the bag) and some sour cream for a dip or spread and two tomatoes ready to eat,,not hard as a rock ! Lord I love a bargain !
Oh Mart, I’m with you on bargains. This latest one of yours sounds really generous. I am crazy about avacado, but they are terribly expensive here. You eat well.
Here when they go on the mark down table its not that there is anything wrong with them,, but they are just not pretty sometimes ! And at $2.00 per bag,, its a steal ! Today I got sweet potatoes !
I wonder if there is a relationship between too much time in the kitchen and too much time in the garden
