Your tree is beautiful, Logan! Here is a photo of our little tree this year. I'm not an all-out decorator but like to have a little festive display to bring some cheer during the dark winter months.

This is on the other side of the conservatory where the tree is. The bars are part of the stairgate to keep the dogs out.

The closest we get to decorations are these lights I put up around the front door.

Unless you count these permanent ones in the garden, but we don't usually turn them on unless we're in the garden, as there seems no point.

I quit decorating a few years ago. ... cats sometimes just can not resist slapping the pretty ornaments around until they fall on the floor then they chase them from room to room....at 3 in the morning. We had to quit putting real candy canes on our tree ....we found out that our dog loved them after finding a pile of candy wrappers on the floor, the lower section of the tree almost bare and a dog with a stomach ache one morning. But he had carefully taken them off the tree without once knocking it over.

We decorated our tree this morning--we love getting out the old ornaments, some of which we have had for 50 years, and reminiscing about where we got them and when. I'll post photos after my husband has recuperated and takes pictures!

Strangely enough our dog has never bothered with the Christmas tree or its decorations. Even as a pup all he did was give it a quick sniff and then ignored it.
However when it comes to opening pressies he's right there and all excited about ripping the paper off hoping each one has a squeaky toy for him..
