There are Ironman and Ironkids days here. Three days of triathlons for various distances. Today is the second day. The triathlons consist of running, swimming and biking.

We cannot leave with an auto for a number of hours because our home lies on the routes. This is no big sacrifice though. We can watch it all from the window and balcony. The cheering, music and the announcer babbling his silly remarks. Haha. It is a festive event.

Here is a compilation of last year’s Ironman.

Enjoy the show! I have deep respect for people competing in the triathlon, and especially the Ironman event. I'm told it's harder than a normal one, whatever normal means when it comes to triathlon...

They squeezed a lot into that one short film, didn’t they.

They certainly did! The clips were so short but I recognized a few landmarks, and there's always the pause-button.

    You’re welkies, Mel.
Nice that he enjoyed the vid. It is an interesting sport, but a spectator cannot really get a comprehensive overview of the contests because they are stationary and the participants just pass by every so often. The compilation; as compact as it is, does give a type of overview, albeit fragmented.

Sports can be fun, but extreme sport can be damaging. My own sports were kept to a simple level—track and field, basketball and baseball. My real love was speed skating, but I kept falling. Ha ha ha.
