I made Medlar and Rose Hip jelly a while back. Daughter #1 said it was the best thing she'd ever tasted :)

Several recently transplanted perennials are doing settling into this glacier till. I try to move a carload of perennials once a week to my new home. The asters took the move surprisingly well. The cool nights and moderate days have been ideal. Still creating beds and terracing in two small areas. The rest of the yard is bunny pasture for feral domestic bunnies. A late flowering cosmos, couldn't bring myself to pull it up to plant the wallflowers, must be going soft in my old age.:chuckle:

Loggie—That Cosmea is indeed too lovely to pull-up.
I also wait until the plants stop blooming before lifting them and placing them on the mulch layers covering my veggie beds.

Sjeord, yes it's lovely and i hope that the frost doesn't get it. I try and put a lot of the spent flowers in the compost bins, that's great what you do.
