My behaviour is at times atypical for a woman close to 60. My family is used to me and have stopped being embarrassed if I suddenly do a little dance because... well, because a little dance needs to come out. This summer we saw some absolutely beautiful, wall-to-wall, graffitis we had to have a closer look at. And there, hidden amongst big statements, I found a small Alice sitting by a tree underneath a surveillance camera, holding a sign with words that hit me hard. I photographed it and got it printed on the back of a T-shirt. This is what I haven't been able to put into words all my life. So glad somebody did it for me:

Droopske, I have seen politicians use this as their motto.
It is a thing that they must weigh— Should they live with people thinking they may be stupid, or to do something stupid and remove all doubt.
Nay, I am just having fun. it is a great T-shirt.

How clever is that Droopy that you were able to think to photograph it and put it on a shirt. Well done.

I'm happy that someone found the words for you. They are good and true.

    ....and keep dancing. :)

In many ways and thru life’s circumstances which has literally bolted me way past stupid fears. I have passed that so long ago. I really don’t care…. I have way more important things in my life to cope with. ..
Heck just driving on the roads every day shows more stupidly than I have seen in a lifetime.

Every single time I drive out on highways side streets , there is always a close call due to ….. drivers

And just today at the grocery store some lady kept yelling at me to reach something off the shelf. I did.. 6 liter bottles of soda…and I then asked her age . She was only 3 years older than I was… entitlement ..anyone? Just because a grey haired lady ……stupidity is in the mind of the beholder……Then her daughter came rolling up … ……I’m gonna find my grouchy face.

then a lady with a baby yells help me my baby is choking .. throws the baby in my arms as this baby is turning blue ..I just laid her flat rocked her and pushed oh her tiny belly and she began to breathe, I was never so scared in my life . A few minutes later the EMT arrives and I ran towards them and they took the baby applied oxygen … and then I have to drive home shaking … after ….I’m still upset… why me?

    ….

Why you.... because if you hadn't been around when the baby was choking then everything could have turned out very differently. Well done!!

    Very well said Eileen.

I'm sorry that was so stressful Pac, but can't imagine how awful if you hadn't been there. Hard when the last thread is getting a bit thin, and you have to dig for more. You're quite the lady Pac. Hot tub ( now that the power is on) and maybe a Marg to put this day to bed. ;)

Tetters… my own Tee… Thanks I still don’t know who she was or how she is since the EMT took her away to the hospital. I just happened to be the only one around the area at the time . That experience will live in my heart forever.. I hope the family and baby are all OK.

We just don't know our own strengths Pac. It can be surprising what we can achieve in times of stress. This will always be a good thing to look back on, and recognise your capabilities.

You can always make an enquiry at the most likely hospital, or watch the local news. Alternatively, rest in the knowledge that you did what you could.
