Pics taken at night on perimeter security cams. I didn’t even have to get up outta my cozy warm chair. Just log on and snap. Not all the cams came on, some are coved in snow and so is the dish tv- no tv.

This is a wet heavy snow can cause trees and branches to fall. I bet most of Portland will be shut down tomorrow. And we probably can’t get down the mountain for a couple days.

After having no power last night for 14 hours - wind rain storm , it’s nice to have power again.

Can’t wait to get a snap of the new pups reaction to the snow. Possibly enough snow to make a snowman. IMG_5584.jpeg IMG_5581.jpeg IMG_5583.jpeg

What interesting photos! Your cameras are paying off not only in safety, but in artistic photos, too.
We have a "trail cam" trained on the house to barn path and the patio. Ours is not for safety from human prowlers, but to find out what skunk, armadillo, stray cat, etc. is roaming around. Not nearly as lovely as yours, but does anyone want to see a really good photo of a skunk?

Our snow quit last night, but we're supposed to have more Friday and 40% chance tonight. Temps are low this weekend; -1 Saturday, -11 Sunday high of 3, Oh yeah! -5 high of 2 on Tuesday when we go back to school/work. I guess that's good, at least it will have warmed up to single negative digits! Fun, fun, fun. I at least talked the VP to have our monthly fire drill today because of the snow and cold. So that's done.

Somehow a snowfall can make even the duck yard look nice!

Woke up to more snow, but still had to go in. Tomorrow is supposed to be really bad. So hopefully it will be another snow day.

I like the blue tint in the pictures. We get that later when it starts to get dark.

And now comes the freezing. 30-40% chance of more snow from 7 pm to midnight yeah, the forecast says it's warmed up to a balmy -9 and -10 tomorrow and Monday. -3 on Tuesday when we go back.

-4 degrees tonite. The dogs don’t even want to go out… horses are wearing thick heavy lamb lined horse coats.

This ARTIC blast was the coldest temps in 30 years. Shut down half the state, airports , trains, due to trees falling on tracks and lot of trees fallen around the area. So far we have been lucky no damage .

The pic was taken from the back patio looking down the valley below.
