Yes they're funny, in this video they try to make British fish and chips. They answer some of the comments and they say that it's just for fun.

Logan Now that’s a serious project. Such perfection and pride in their work. Don’t find that much today .
Stone ,pavers and large boulders add a great focal point .

Interesting view on lawns / nature over the centuries. For one month - Letting lawns grow out into a jungle eco system sounds eco friendly . Do we have a disconnect from nature due to mowing? Cities can have a different landscape than the country .

Living in the country I have more than enough nature in my garden . If I let my pastures and lawns go it would be wall to wall gopher and mole mounds not to mention mice, voles etc. you know the drill. Then it would take me the whole summer to eliminate them if possible. A slave to these ground critters for months.

My lawn is the only thing I have control over . The rest of the garden is at risk to weather, wild life and insects . Not to mention snakes, spiders, mosquitos mites and tics. There’s alway an alternate side to mowing it’s nice to have a meadow garden.

This A.M. I spent 1 and 1/2 hours in the misty cold weather trying to get a gopher that has been incredibly persistent in one area of the pasture, as well as a difficult area to get to and mow on a step hill. He is stubborn , and so am I. As soon as it dries out I will hook up my weapon of mass destruction the tiller on the big tractor. For now it’s time to plan the demise of these ground destroyers that have literally turned the pasture into swiss cheese.
