    Oh, great! I might need to pick your brain! I haven't gardened here much. Was born & raised in SW Missouri. Big difference! :D

    I can let you know right now that you have root knot nematodes galore in the soil and they will eat up the roots of tomato plants so, you need to put the solanacea family, tomato, eggplant, potatoes in a lot of compost and, they say, alfalfa hay in the soil as compost helps keep them away.

    You can pick all you like !! :smt044

    Oh, and also, Buddleia bushes only survive a season, they eat those roots too !! I have a thread on it.

    Hi and welcome @Whosoever :smt041, lovely to meet and greet you. I won't be much help I'm afraid as I live across the pond.

    Hello and welcome. :setc_034:
    Lovely to have a new member!
    As I was getting bored from seeing the same over here again and again. :smt044 So thanks for joining, and in doing so saving us from stagnation. :rofl:

    By all means, feel free to brainstorm with everyone. That's why we are all here. As it works both ways. Because I oo was thinking about getting Florida Keys Limes. So it would be really nice to talk with someone who is actually living in that state. And might have some experience with those. Or at least seen them.

    @S-H
    I have a key lime and it's fruited the last two years. I planted it four years ago. Just put it in the ground, or a pot leaving an inch or two space between the rootball and pot, not more, where it has excellent drainage and not too fertile soil, (no manure or such) and feed it spring and late summer with fertilizer for citrus, it'll fruit.
