I have 3 cats, all 3 have vastly different personalities. I have Felix who will turn 12 this year. He is my absolute lovebug, any time I call him he will come waddling over. I look at him and he will just start purring. He's one of my best ever cat's I've had. An also one of the most difficult to photograph since he is a black tuxedo boy. Then there is Skittles who just turned 10! She's super finicky and skittish. She's afraid of my son and just about anyone who walks into the house, but she's also my shoulder cat and she loves on me (mostly on her terms which tends to be the worst of times, but I give her lots of love) She's definitely got tortitude! Then we have the baby of the family. Meateor who will turn 4 very soon. He's technically my son's cat, but after the 4k vet bill from crystals and my son not showing much concern for him... he's mine. Meateor is my hellion. He is super adventurous, a terrible instigator (he will chase after Skittles to make her scream and hiss!), we can basically do anything to this cat and he won't retaliate. He is not entirely fearless, he's afraid of the vacuum, broom, and ... hand fans... yep.... the fans women usually hang onto that's made of paper... he's afraid of those lol. We think he might be part maine coone but either way he's got a crazy personality *and also the most photogenic of the 3*
I wants dem all !! . I can't have a kitty because my dog Rags thinks they're chew toys Meat-eor !! Is it that he's meaty or just likes meat !! He does look like he's part Maine coon. !!
Meateor because when he was first named like most Tabbies he has the M above the eyes so my son and my ex boyfriend's nephew were like "meteor for meteorman!" but when we took this tiny little kitten home.... we found out he really is a glutton and the other to MUCH OLDER cats let him! and he didn't gain weight. so he's a little MEATeor play on words can be so fun! :3
Why do all pets have a few screws loose in their heads? It's a question for which I have never really gotten a satisfactory answer. Can anybody explain why???
IMHO, not all of them have loose screws, but their idiosyncracies are in proportion with that of humans and every other creature ever born. Like humans, they all have their own unique personalities. If everyone was the same, life would be very boring.
Nine times out of ten it is not the animal that has a screw loose, but the people it has dealing with its care. If only they could talk the language. In the meantime, if you study your pet carefully you can read their thoughts. There is usually a whole lot of pointers to follow to gain an understanding of their feelings that are sadly overlooked.
I wouldn't say all pets have screws loose much like Tetters said its communication issues between species. I know my cats well enough that I know when something abnormal is happening that I will question them. It's all about understanding them as the animal they are and not try to personify them.
Meateor can be kind of creepy. Last night Felix wanted up so I had to get him onto my hammock because the old man can't jump well in his old chubby age, and then Skittles had to have a spot on my chest right by my face, because she's like that. Meateor was at my feet and then jumped down when skittles got on me, then jumped on my table and this is what I see when I look up:
My kitties were able to get some outside time and I got a couple good photos (meateor is the most photogetic of all so he got a couple lol)
