Won't have much time for the garden today as I've other jobs on the agenda,
    But everything is progressing well.

    More rhodo blooms out.

    Blooms on the Sambucas.

    More roses coming out.

More unwanted growth on the top of the wisteria, which needs pruning. The white one hardly shows from this angle.

But you can see it when you walk under the pergola.

    Even the lawn is recovering.

My bit of woodworking looks quite good with the sun on it.

I put a lot of water on both gardens last night.

Trimmed the "skirts" of the acer palmatums, pruned off some wisteria shoots, did more watering. So far, no immediate likelihood of a hosepipe ban.
As it's so dry, I'm not cutting the lawn tomorrow, as short as I usually do, I'll take my Flymo up a notch.

Another no gardening day today because everything is wet and not drying due to the overcast skies. I put some sticks around the outside edges of the raised bed that my bush beans are in, then strung string from one to another to help support the bush beans that were hanging left and right after the rain. Picked some tomatoes and that's the extent of it for today.

    Thank you @Sjoerd and @Zigs

Some days ago i cut back a old and dying lavender and put this variegated one in It's place and some red wild poppy seedlings in front of it.
The old lavender might grow back but they say that they don't from old wood.

Tetters cut the lavender back @Logan but I see there's a bit of new growth coming already :)

Could do with that rain @Anniekay , barrels are getting low

Doing a bit to the turf wall when I get the chance, long old job

Just collected a lot of fallen wisteria blooms and did some watering, (I also cleaned my golf clubs, golf shoes and my car)
Didn't cut the grass, as I'm letting it grow to the next "Flymo height." Watched on TV, both Emma Raducanu and Jack Draper win their respective matches.

I hope it grows. I've cut back lavender almost to the ground, and it grew back. Might be the cultivar.

Not much, it rained off and on.

I moved a large planting container to the other side of the garden. About 20 gallon size, I think. It contained strawberry plants from a few years ago, and weeds. Now it's just strawberry plants. I added a top dressing of fresh potting soil, then an arborist chip mulch, then I watered in some balanced fertilizer. I don't know if they will grow or produce.

I thinned the apples to one per bunch, and bunches at least 6 inches apart, on several trees. There are still several more trees to thin.

I also set up drip irrigation for three squash vines, and got it almost set up for three more. After that, three to go. That will save me a lot of water carrying this summer.

Planted up my 2 hanging baskets with trailing geraniums, trailing fuchsias and in-between Erigeron/fleabane.

Still wet out but there was a breeze and I had mildew coming on my Courgette's older leaves so I cut the mildewed ones away. Now I have better air circulation to the Courgettes and the cucumbers growing near the one in the eastern most bed.

Picked a bowl full of babyboomer tomatoes, did a bit of weeding, too.
