The strawberries are coming along well, the Bride thinks too well. To be fair, they have responded very well to our care during the droughty weeks. The problem now is that there are so many large and heavy fruits. Something must be done. What then? String ‘em up, then. With short sticks and string. Plants were tied-up and strings were arranged so that the heavy clumps of berries could be draped over them. It took a while but we finally had it supported. So then, we shall see if this ad hoc solution will worl.
You have a Super Dooper Bumper Crop. I like how you figured out how to keep them up and out of the damp, not to mention up and away from hungry ground dwelling things.
Looking scrumptious @Sjoerd . We picked our first Strawberries today and had them at lunchtime with some Greek Yoghurt.
That's a clever idea Sjoerd. Your bride must be very excited for the June Berry delight. What a wonderful crop you have!
