    Thank you @Clay_22 .

Sorry that your Grandmother suffered from this most devastatingly distressful disease .

There's an advert currently airing on tv and radio over here where a son is describing his Mother's slow demise as witnessing her die abit each time he sees her...and that is such a true statement. Family and friends have to keep so strong but it is very draining to witness.
    Sorry for your loss Clay.

AAnightowl she’s a beauty, so clean and shinny. At 24 yrs she’s in great shape. I see she is mowing your lawn…Clean lasts only until they are free and addicted to mud rolling. Good thing she’s on a lead or your garden would be toast.. Do you ride her often? Do to her distinct color she looks like a palomino.

Your garden is coming along nicely. With all the new plantings it’s goona be a blooming season.
So nice to see your garden along with horsey… lovely place you have there. :smt060

@Sjoerd thank you, @Oreti so sorry about your brother.

Finishing off the border with potted lilies and cosmos, but haven't finished it yet. Having trouble with pigeons eating the currants so bought these bird repellent discs and they work. Have to put them together and no instructions but i enjoyed doing it.

My horse is a bit younger in that photo, but she was not covered in mud. With all the rains we have been having, she has a LOT of mud to play in. I think she still looks good.

My son finally got home late last night. He took us for errands today, so I did not get much done. I did get some more black eyed Susans transplanted into a flower bed this morning.

    We had more storms overnight.

I finally got my new Composter outside and got one side half way filled up. Rain will be here in a few minutes, well, it's actually doing a very fine spit already so, I won't be doing much other than picking more blackberries if it clears up later.

This is the Miracle Gro composter. 18 something-or-other on each side. Plenty big enough for me, and has choppers on each side (six sided) to help break up the compost. They don't work as well without those, I have read.

Nothing again today other than a walk round.

I needn't have been concerned when for a month only one begonia of a dozen was showing, the others have caught up.

Finished the one border with potted lilies and cosmos, i kept the lilies in their pots so it will be easier to remove them in the autumn.

I have not done much yet. BUT, when I was out with son checking something in the yard, I noticed a whole LOT of tomato plants growing on the ditchwork. All of that dirt has to go someplace, and the dozens of tomato plants were growing on it. I got them out and in a bucket of water until later when it cools down some. I have a 5 gallon bucket stuffed with tomato plants (and water). There is a large marigold plant also.

Yesterday, when I was out running errands, I was looking for a few more tomato plants, but the local selection is about done. There were very few tomato plants available, and it was mainly cherry tomatoes, or huge pots for a lot of $$$ with large plants, or plants near death. I don't particularly want cherry tomatoes nor dead ones, nor the expensive ones. I did buy a few packets of beefsteak tomato SEEDS to plant this week. I guess I will save those for next spring.

I have no clue what variety of tomatoes my freebies are, nor if they are determinate or indeterminate, but they are freebies somehow. I never planted any tomato seed there, it is far from my garden, and my compost heaps and barrels...

That ditchwork is overgrown with weeds and whatever, so I did not notice the tomato plants until a little bit ago. We hope to replace the pipe this week, and start filling in that ditch.

Finally have these new vegetable gardens planted. Sorry it's blurry. I haven't settled on a way to reduce image size, but I'm working on it.

I've not really had a vegetable garden since before 2005. The body hasn't kept up very well. Now i dont have to be on my knees. I get to have my own veggies again. I am a very happy gardener!

Very nice new planters. A lot easier for planting and harvesting. Your area looks beautiful surrounded by trees and lots of greenery.
