Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear. Its going to be another beautiful day!
Off to work, where the challenge today is going to be staying in the shady areas and staying cool.
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 21°C and mostly cloudy. Weatherman says we will have a hot day with a chance of thunderstorms. We definitely need rain.
Its a grass cutting day at work today, so I hope to get an early start and avoid the hottest part of the day.
Have a great day all :)

Good morning from Oregon. It's a cloudy 57 f today with rain forecast through Sunday. Interesting June, easy does it kind of weather. I'm off to work at the food bank today. The bright spot in my week with the best people. Have a great Wednesday everyone

Good Thursday morning all. Currently 20°C and overcast. Rain is in the forecast today.
It got very hot yesterday, and by evening I felt really drained. I forget to slow down on the hot days and always feel it later in the day. I'm going to try to remember that today, as its going to get hot and humid. Hopefully we get the rain as things are very dry.
2 more days and the weekend will be here again :)

Netty, our climates have been exchanged! You are hotter and drier than usual, and we are wetter and cooler. It's okay, we don't mind the exchange!
Off to the veterinarian today for Timi's annual checkup and shots. The only difficult part is getting Timi in the carrier. I hope we don't bleed too much!

Good Friday morning all. Currently 15°C, windy and overcast. It feels cool.
Off to work, and today there will be a wedding. I have to get in early and get things looking good.
The after work, home to set up the pool, that will be filled tomorrow. A water truck is coming between 8:30-1pm. Then a Jack and Jill in the evening and DD will be babysitting while we are at the party. A busy weekend ahead!
Have a great day all :)

Today is the first day of summer--officially. I think Netty jumped the gun and got into summer early. Today is sunny but very humid, so we will have to wait for the vegetation to dry out before working outside.
We survived Timi's trip to the vet with minimal damage (none to the cat, of course!). There must be a course in a vet's training on "how to handle obstreperous animals." Timi was calm and behaved like the perfect little cat, even purring for a bit. The vet was skeptical of our difficulty getting her into the carrier. Wonder if that course is available on-line . . . .

@marlingardener Do you cover the carrier with a dark towel so that it looks like a little cave ? I had one cat that wouldn't go in unless the carrier was dark inside.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 13°C and clear. Its going to be a hot one!
A busy Saturday ahead, starting with the pool being filled this morning. Lots of grass to cut and things to water, and taking DD to babysit later. I'll be heading to a Jack and Jill (party) later with my SIL where he will meet up with his wife who is a bridesmaid and will be busy helping with the setup.
Its 5:30am and I've already got a turkey in the oven trying to beat the heat, and theres a thunderstorm in the forecast for later today. Next job is to clean out the fridge.
Its going be a great day :)

AnnieKay, I'll try the towel trick next time we need to put Timi in the carrier. Thanks for tip!
Saturday, and with less humidity husband can get mowing before the day heats up. He got quite a bit done yesterday, so this mowing session will be shorter. I need to clean the refrigerator (not my favorite job) and do a bit of sprucing up around the house. For some reason we seem to have a lot of cat hair on the carpets, chairs, sofa, etc.
    Have a good Saturday everyone!

Netty— What, exactly is a Jack and Jill Party? It does not involve hill climbing, I trust.

Marlin— I am glad the potentially traumatic vet visit wen well. Cats…they always show the “masters” ip, don’t they.

Good morning. It's another wet day here. I've been busy making a little whiskey barrel pond this week. What fun. It's the first pond here and I think if I call it the first there might be more. In fact, I went to get water plants from a friend and ended up with the name of her "pond lady", who helped her create a natural pond on her place. Ideas are rushing around in my head ...

Good Sunday morning all. Currently 24°C and overcast. It is very humid, and the temperature is going to feel like 44°C later. I'm very thankful that my pool was filled yesterday!
I'll be 'puttering' around the gardens today, and trying to stay cool.
A Jack and Jill is a coed pre-wedding celebration where both the bride and groom invite friends and family to celebrate together. It includes fundraising activities to help the couple with wedding expenses or their future life together. The wedding is this October.
Have a great day all :)
