I've always had trouble remembering names, someone told me he had a memory test, one was he had to say the names of the months backwards.

I sometimes have to go through the alphabet to remember a few names and this doesn't always work.

I was on another board talking about tennis last night and I couldn't for the life of me remember Sue Barker's name. I had to Google "Question of Sport" to find it.
As you can read, I haven't forgotten it since.

I had a trick to remember the registration of the previous car I'd had for twenty years. I invented the name of a "Polish bloke, Mutos Ludek." That was the only way I could remember it. I can't remember that of the car I bought in March. I've a note of it in my wallet.
But I can remember the reg of the first car I had nearly seventy years ago, when I was seventeen, DPA 227.
and my parents' old phone number, disconnected when they moved, sixty years ago.
