I cut some buddleia flowers Some dahlias I grew from seeds last year. I saved the tubers in the garage and potted them up this year. Some dwarf alstroemeria that I gave up on last year, and planted in the ground. Actually doing better there.
This yellow rose was a cutting I begged from a bouquet that a coworker brought into work. About 15 years ago. I don't know the name. It has a mild hybrid tea rose fragrance. Nice.
Loggie— smashing rose! My favourite colour for a rose. I find it a romantic specimen. Daniel— That is a very nice bouquet. I am fond of those flowers. I have had several of different colours ver the years. That yellow rose is also quite gorgeous. Your red dahlia with the open face is one of my faves. I especially like the simple-flowered, open-faces dahlias the best. It is a real looker. Annie— what. Wonderful zinnia bed you have. They are such attractive flowers, aren’t they. I like how you used those Tagetes plants to compliment the other plants in that last foto. Pac— happy birthday to you. Did you take a day off from managing that wonderful park in which you live? That pic this time is another impressive view. What a great place you have. What all did you do on your birthday day?
Sjoerd thank you for your nice complement on the garden pic and much of your pics are also much like a park view and thanks for BD wishes.
Beautiful pics everyone, what stunning places have been created to escape to away from the woes of the world...and to restore our inner strength and wellbeing. What a talented bunch !!.
@Orieti thank you so much.. no apologies necessary. At 78 years old it’s just another day. However, my son’s, grandchildren & DIL came to spend a few days . They fixed meals , made a BD cake, played with my pup which made her a happy camper too. They took a ride on the zip line near by. They saw canyons and 100’ tress, trees and more trees. They can’t get over how green it is here in summer and all the trees are just amazing to them since they live in states that have hot dry summers with landscapes left parched and brown, They have helped me with a lot of things the last few months and have helped me reorganize my life since my DH passed. I am so grateful for them .
Oh...did your DH pass recently?, if so then please accept my sincere condolences. I think I have been guilty of getting too wrapped up in my recovery woes. Where do the family live.....fairly near you? Sounds like you all had a fabulous time. Is your Zodiac Star Sign Cancer then.Mine and my hubs are as well. My birthday is next week ,hub's is the week after and one of our sons is 40 today so July is a busy month for our family.!!
