Fingers crossed for you and your Polys, mate.

    Been sieving compost today :)

Got a full dumpy bag of that, one of leaf mold and one of composted wood chip now.

It was so hot and muggy earlier in the day 94°f with 92% humidity. Then it rained off and on. Finally at 5pm it cooled off, dried up and I got 10 variegated privet hedges all trimmed up !!

Apart from the never ending watering and deadheading yesterday we began to tackle pruning back the Lavateras. They grow extremely quickly and before you know it they are triple their size and casting too much unwanted shade on the borders.

Today I plan on propagation, August is a good time I find normally. :fingerscrossed::like:

I heard about the floods in Wisconsin and panicked cause my daughter lives there. But in Oxford, which is nowhere close to those floods. Then I looked at the map and saw the floods were in a small isolated part of the state and all the surrounding areas were ok. That must have been one hell of a cloud that passed over Milwaukee. Glad to see all is well with you.

Haven't a lot to do today, I've done the laundry and gave the kitchen "a go over."
So I'll be watching the sport on TV.

    I had a delivery today.

At times, (not often), I've thought that I could do with a tripod for my camera.
So I bought one on eBay.
It has an adjustable stand, which is tall enough and the camera can be moved up and down and from side to side quite smoothly. It even has a little spirit level so you can check you have it level.

    It folds right down.

and even has a bag for it.

I've no idea when I'll use it, but it's "handy" for when I do.

It's well made, brand new, in a box and the price included postage.

I don't know how they do it for £12.97

Oreti— meid, you are a caution with those loppers. Well done. Your yard is looking good, but I am staying out of your way when you are playing, the Barber od Seville.;)

I cut the dead branches from the burning bush plant. I figured if they're picking up branches from the storm, I'll just add to them. I was hoping the whole bush would die; I really haven't liked it since I moved in (it came with the house). But unfortunately it seems to be coming back. One branch did have a lot of life, that got cut...oops.
Other than that I did laundry and dishes. I need to go bring in the laundry.
Yeah we got hit, but not like some places. Between my drain and sump pump we were okay. I really haven't put much in the basement since the water main fiasco last year. Anything down there is on legs and no upholstery, on boards (my freezer), or in plastic bins. I don't ever want to go through that again!

Looks like the page was remodeled?

Mostly, I was working on my elderberries. I have 3 new quarts in the freezer, and a bowl almost full enough to bag them up, and a lot more in the tub and on the trees to work on... I had to stop for my weekly paperwork --I do volunteer clerical work for my church. I did not really get any outdoor work done except taking care of my pets. They are not hard, just tedious to remove all those itty-bitty berries from the stems.

I guess my picture of the trees in bloom is still in the phone. If I remember, I will post it to fb or something so I can put it in my computer. Phone size photos are too big, and getting signed in here ??? I stay signed in on my computer so I don't have to bother with the password etc. I am not sure if I took a picture of it laden down with berries.

Zigs— nice trug. I use quite a few of these. A couple are blue like yours. They could be related.

Another warm day. I did a lot of watering about half nine this morning and I'll do some more after dinner tonight, otherwise I've stayed out of the garden. I had to do some shopping this morning, so that was all the physical energy I wanted to spend.

Just watering as usual, I'll do some more in the morning that i didn't do last night.

Got some tulip bulbs arriving soon.

The treatment that i had on my left eye has worked well, the colours are so much brighter and especially black.
