@Sjoerd :smt023 Excellent picces. A lot of flower blooms and foliage peaking out in the background of your last pic. I think I see a Eutrochium purpureum hanging out with pink tone flower heads in last pic. Can’t see clearly the yellow flowers in the last pic. All favorites for late summer blooms .

Time to call a close to the mophead hydrangea season, brought a few blooms in to dry .

Thanks Pac— you do indeed see an Eupatorium purpureum. It is an escapee from the main stand of them. Those tall yellow plants in the background are Rudbeckia nitida

Your beautiful pics of blooms are stunning. You do not disappoint with those. The chipmunk and fox squirrel I especially like. I like to see wildlife fotos on here.
    Great work..

Those Aconitum blooms are very far ahead of mine.. we call them, “Monnikskap”.

Monnikskap in english we call them Monkshood. That's the common name for Aconitum. :) I had some in my yard when I lived in Germany. In German they're called Eisenhut which is Iron hat in English.

    Aren't languages fascinating ?!! :D

Annie— yes indeed they are. I had some lovely purple and white ones once, but the purple ones are the only ones left now.
