Curtains For The Chiff-Chaffs

    The chiff-chaffs have been in the toms again. So it was curtains for them .

    The surprise caulis are getting larger, and… there are now four! What a surprise this is because at first I thought these plants were ruined by a ruthless insect. I was so surprised to see these jonkies.

    This last one is the largest of the four. That brassica patch was a late planting after the broad beans had finished. They turned out well. I am finding midsummer brassica planting challenging, but possible,

    Looking good Sjoerd :) I've planted our summer cabbages in the fruit tunnel, although the caterpillars hitched a ride into it on the kale seedlings :eek: Had to hoike them off yesterday. I don't usually grow them in the summer either.

    I relocated them to the kale I left for them outside last winter, it's still going strong and about 5 foot tall now :eek::D
