    Very, very nice Pac.
You have an eye for beauty, even though they sometimes hang out on their springs.

All you would get from my area, @Pacnorwest is the color brown !! Leaves don't really turn pretty colors here. The blackberries get a bit of a reddish tinge but that's quickly overtaken by brown, curled and shrivelled !! :D

Anniekay ahh yes some states in the US really don’t have autumn. This is the first state I’ve lived in that has a full long beautiful autumn with so many colorful plants, trees, shrubs that fills the landscape with the colors of autumn so bright and beautiful.
Grew up in California no autumn and Colorado well the popular trees are a biggie there.. but not nearly as colorful as here. Or maybe I never paid that much attention until gardening became interesting.

I was born and raised in New England. We had "Leafpeepers",
Coming in busses every fall to have their eyes dazzled by the fall colors. I miss that and the Birch trees with white bark. Those don't grow down here either. :(

I have heavenly bamboo in the front of the house and it never changes color except in spring. The new growth comes in yellowish green then darkens. I didn't even know it had fall coloration !!

Anniekay I don’t know why your heavenly bamboo doesn’t change leaf color. Maybe because we are in different zones. Northern zones have colder weather and farther from the equator. I looked up the reason your southern climate may not have Autumn leaf color .

    This is what I found…
Southern climates often do not have autumn, at least in the traditional four-season sense, because of their proximity to the equator. In these tropical and subtropical regions, seasonal changes are not driven by temperature fluctuations but by rainfall. The Earth's axial tilt causes these variations, which become less extreme closer to the equator. There’s a whole more to this explanation. Just google…

    Hope that helps…

I did get a few pics tonight .

    Pac— too lovely for words.
We are still green here. I do not know what I will have, but when we have colour here, I shall post it.
