Four days in a row: 67-68°f - 92- 94°f VERRR-RY muggy !! Lots of clouds but all are just scraggly and devoid of the capability of producing rain. Tomorrow, they say......85% chance of rain. Yeah, right. Probably will spit for two minutes, if I'm lucky, that is.
Good morning all, clear sky and light winds temp 7c to 15c Precipitation 0% Sunrise 6.59 Sunset 18.58 Sunny later and no rain
Welp, it's totally, thickly, light limitingly, overcast outside. that the 85% chance of rain in the prediction comes around some time today. It got fully cloudy yesterday afternoon around 5pm and the temp dropped from 93 to 84 !! that was making it look hopefulfor a bit of rain. Evidently it spit for a split second because my car was wet on top but nowhere else and the grass wasn't even the least bit damp. Funny weather.
It could be Virga rain. I was watching the weather channel and they explained why weather predictions for rain is sometimes difficult to forecast. Virgo rain falling from a cloud completely evaporates in the atmosphere before it hits the ground. When precipitation is falling thru a layer of dry air which vaporizes the moisture.
Good morning all, partly cloudy and light winds temp 8c to 15c Precipitation 0% Sunrise 7.01 Sunset 18.55 Maybe a bit of rain later in the afternoon.
G-EEE-eezz sunset at 6:59 PM …Holy mackerel not even finished with dinner. Soon we turn the clocks back Nov 2nd. This whole summer just flew by…
Sunset is 18:53 here Pac, and our clocks go back on Oct 26th... I absolutely hate the long dark evenings. However I do enjoy planning how to fill them this is important as we hardly watch tv, its usually switched off after the early evening news. Keeping your mind active is so important during the long winter months. It's been quite a nice day for getting jobs done out in the garden today. Mostly cloudy with intermittent glimpses of the sun.
It just slightly more than drizzled for most of the day yesterday. It quit for a while around supper time then started up again after dark. Total in my rain gauge was just under 1/2" . Better than nothing. The last rainfall before this was 1" on Sept. 23 !! We do have a tropical storm South of here that may become a hurricane and give us more rain on Monday, though. We need a good 5" or more !! I can't plant a thing unless I soak a hole for an hour ; it's dry as a bone down there. I pulled out a zinnia after watering that area for 3 hours on a sprinkler and the roots of the zinnia were in dry soil. Amazing anything's still going.
I hope you get rain as it is very dry here the pastures are turning into dust. The hurricane heading toward the east coast looks like it may join the second hurricane forming in the Atlantic coastal areas.
