Thanks Pac , we certainly did have a great day in the sunshine.. We also visited my brother and tried reminiscing with him about our wedding day but sadly we didn't get much response from him. We are advised to talk about past events to see if he reacts / recalls anything but sadly he doesn't anymore. Tomorrow looks set to be a nice day too , sunny and around 19C so I've just done the laundry and have done two machine loads this evening that are ready to hang out first thing in the morning. Did I read somewhere that you've had a bit of long awaited for rainfall ? Surprisingly mild here tonight.

Sorry about the rain . It’s was so dry here too. The PNW is usually dry from late June to (late November- early December) . Last 2 days finally rain in October nice surprise. Not much rain we had .62 Monday and .76 Tuesday - today. Doesn’t sound like much but include the overcast skies and the pastures are greening up as the fall trees and shrubs are showing fall color. A bit chilly today but perfect weather to do some garden trimming.

I was always under the impression that it was constantly rainy in the Pacific North West. IDK why, but I always assumed it was overcast and drizzling. Apparently I am mistaken. Seems you have dry weather for half the year at least.
Yesterday afternoon the cloudy overcast sky finally opened up. Was looking out down the tops of the trees thru to the canyon into the valley below and caught this pic. Cool rainy workin out in Soggy weather again today. or Not .

Welp, we had overcast for three days with that now-named Imelda storm. I was hoping it would come up to Georgia and stay a ways from the coast before turning Northeast but, nope. Didn't get any real rain from it. One day it was a little misty for a few hours. Now the dang sun's out but the temps are lower 66°f last night. High 85. Still no rain so I'm back to watering.
