Good news, Pac— fingers crossed. Speed skating is my favourite sport to watch. If he does make the team let us know and we will keep an eye out for him.

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently 10°C and clear.
I'm a little tired this morning due to being at the rink late. Hopefully things calm down after the first week. Was happy to see that my skater could still do jumps and spins after not being on the ice all summer. That was the first summer in many years that she didn't continue.
Off to work, and today is hedge trimming day again.
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently just 6°C and clear. Only a high of 18°C expected today.
I've been nursing a sore knee all week, and have been doing jobs at work that don't require too much bending or kneeling. But today I have a bunch of things to do that I will have to use this knee for. Wish me luck.
We are at the rink again tonight.
Have a great day all :)

Netty having a sore knee is always complicated. For some reason during a buzy garden season it can be a painful issue. Knee exercises by a professional therapist has recommended that I wear a knee sleeve and walk in spring shoes while always walking heel to toe. No boot shooting… Then ice and rest and apply a pain patch. This time of year it’s tough to sneak in rest. Sending healing fairy’s
Your way to keep you strong.

Are you knee-problem folks taking collagen? I had knee, shoulder and elbow issues until I got some Zen Principle Collagen powder. I researched, (it's a Virgo thing !! :p) and this brand is highly recommended. After about 6 months of taking it, all my joint issues disappeared.

The thing is that by the age of 60 your body only makes 10% of the collagen it did when you were young and you need that collagen in your joints. The Zen Principle you can get in a 3 lb jug for around 50 bucks. Two scoops a day and that jug lasts for 3 months so, not very expensive considering the results.

Thank you Anniekay . :smt055 Great advice. I take it too & give collagen to my dogs and horses.

A knee injury seriousness varies from minor to severe. Some injuries cannot be repaired with therapy or treatment. Taking care to keep serious pain under control and seek a knee specialist’s opinion. After a series of tests depending on the seriousness of the injury some may risk deformity, and loss of mobility. I follow my therapists’ advice and regularly do exercises to strengthen my knee. But lately been doing No-No’s…walking thru the garden and pastures on irregular uneven ground causing a twisting knee motion and uneven weight distribution on my joints. Osteoarthritis has damaged my joints and in my case cannot be reversed without surgery. Adjusting to my limitations and regular check ups I manage joint weakness using ‘Mindfulness’ , an organized of sorts enabler . I am motivated to stay healthy and maintain my level of mobility, knowing the things that I can and cannot do. At 78 years old I am still 10 x’s more active than many of my senior friends and family. Knock on Wood.:frustrated:

Good Thursday morning all. Currently just 6°C and clear. A sunny high of 19°C is expected today.
I made it through yesterday without too much knee pain, and it actually feels not bad today. I'm not even sure what I did to it!
Thursday is grass cutting and trimming day at work so that will keep me busy.
Have a great day all :)

Good Friday morning all. Currently 6°C and clear.
A busy day yesterday, then I stopped on the way home to get groceries. Every week I am amazed at how much it costs to feed a family. This week it cost me $364 for a week for 3 people, and thats not including the dogs food. Unreal. It will be more as the garden dies back. Once I got home I loaded up the car and went to the laundromat, then to pick up chainsaw parts, then I went home and walked the dogs and a friend came over. We were up late so I'm tired today, but thankfully the weekend is almost here!
Have a great day all :)

    Enjoy the week end, Netty.
Grocery prices are astounding, aren’t they. Jeepers-creepers!

Good Saturday morning all. Currently 14°C and clear. Its going to be a beautiful day today, with highs reaching 28°C.
This is our first Saturday morning back at the rink, and so the house chores wont start until after noon. Lots to do today plus there was a load of firewood delivered yesterday.
Its going to be a busy day :)
