Zigs— those leeks look very skinny. Is it the sort? It is inspiring to see you are still harvesting…C’est magnifique!
Ta Pac Ta Sjoerd I've forgotten which ones they are, I'll see if I've still got the packet tomorrow. Still got a few things to come in Not pulled the others yet, think that might be the biggest one
Zigs— oké. Well, I was just interested because they looked different from the ones I grew this year. That carrot looks quite nice. Very nice indeed.
Ta Sjoerd I couldn't find the packet but I think they were something like Victor winter hardy Had to get the last of the Peppers in as they were starting to go pummy
My little girl once bit into a pear that was going rotten. She said "It gone Pummy" It wasn't English but you knew exactly what she meant
Ta Sjoerd The yellow ones are ripening on the windowsill but the green ones I don't think will. Hard frost for past few days so I dug these while it has thawed out.
Cleared the last of the peppers in the small tunnel today to make room for the early strawberries. There were a few lurkers in there...
Zigs— a harvest to die for, mate. Those last paps look so lonely. We had some small ones like that at the end of their growing season here. BTW— did toy tell me what kind of tatties those are? Just curious. I have heard that the parsnips will taste better after the frost has gone over them. My experience did not corroborate that.
Ta Sjoerd The small ones are ripening up, I didn't think they would There were a few Pink Fir Apple potatoes in there, think the others may be Cara, not sure. Not tried the Parsnips yet but they were frosted
