A month till Winter Solstice now. If the sun does come out it gets blocked by hedges, trees and alsorts before it reaches the solar panels. Three weeks either side is the time you have to juggle charging things from the solar array. Thought I'd try to take a pic of the sun's angle at noon (when it comes out) to see how low it gets before the 21st December.
Trees shrubs and low sun angle is exactly why I would not go solar. Not to mention that I would never allow that set up on the roof or pastures. I got enough to clean By the end of winter everything is covered in green moss that doesn’t move. Just more places for the squirrels to hide their watch for winter. Ziggs hope you manage to get the solar - sun- on the right path since the angles are a bit low this time of year.
It's ok most of the year Pac, but at the moment it's wise to make sure everything's charged while you can in case you need the power during a cut. We've got the back up generator as well Our panels are mounted vertically on the shed so haven't had to clean them yet Sun didn't want to come out today
It's very good for the art of not being seen He might be one of the living fred It's always the quiet ones Annie
It already seems very dark here, early in evening and late in morning. Even so, comparing my latitude to UK, we are further south. source https://brilliantmaps.com/cities-transposed-latitude/ I am between Portland and Seattle. Closer to Portland. That's why I'm a little bit goofy. There's a fair amount of solar around here. I thought about but my roof angles the wrong direction. I wish it didn't.
Well glad you didn’t really choke .. It’s just an expression… Right . And for Pete sake …. Why was that comment not expected from little ole me? I have my snarky moments just ask JD !
Ah, JD, that post belongs in that thread, you know the one: "Are you brave enough to post a picture of yourself". That one.
