    We didn't have Sesame Street when I was a kid. No big yellow birds or grumpy hairy monsters in trash cans demanding cookies .:smt044
    We had Miss Jean on the TV show called "Romper Room".Just a female teacher with a chalkboard. But, I already could count before that. :p

    When i was little the TV station would start broadcasting at 3:30pm so the kids could get home from school. Mr Rodgers came first then it was Electric Company, followed by Sesame Street, then the news, local first and state second. On some days we could vote for which movie they would play, at 10 or so was an Eskimo focused news\culture show and the bar flag hit the screen about 11pm and that was that for tv that day. Channel 4 rocked!
