Had a walk around our garden this morning and took these pics.....it was way too nippy at 9:30 to linger!!! Most of the Hellebores are in bud now with some actually in bloom. Some nice foliage for a bit of added interest
Bulbs are begining to poke through too. Decided to compost some of our older Wallflowers last year as they had begun to get woody , here are some of the new batch grown from seed last year that are bulking out nicely.
Oreti— great foto’s. Those are wonderful to see. I especially liked seeing the Cornus and Heuchera. Now that it is the new year and we have had the shortest day, they must be feeling the urge to begin.
Oreti Great pics you have a lot of blooms to bring in the New Year 2026 with a bang and a huge pop of color. I only have a few camellia’s .all different colors and shapes double and tripple petals on one shrub. Camellia japonica ‘Lady Vansittart’ double petals ruffled white edges. Different shapes and colors on one shrub.
Pac— I liked the name of the Camellia. It is a Dutch name, van Sittard. Sittard is situated way down south in the Province of Limburg. Lovely thing to see.
Wow interesting info . Thanks for sharing. The Dutch growers are known to be global leaders in high tech, sustainable agriculture and techniques in greenhouses to become the world’s largest agricultural exporter and quality plants, bulbs and heritage. Many of my plants are from the Dutch markets shipped overseas .
Lovely pics @Oreti and @Pacnorwest My hellebore flowers are starting to grow up and the bulbs but haven't had a chance to take some pics.
Thanks Logan . My hellebore's are still sending out stalks but no buds yet. They are always a surprise , one day their blah the next their poppin with color and bright smiley faces .
