I already unwrapped it. I need muscle to hoist it onto it's feet once the legs are on, though.

Yes, I deliberately ignored the inuendo. :smt044

Annie I use leverage to lift heavy things by piling heavy books or whatever under each side higher and higher until all that is left is to push it upright . Using a block or wedge to keep it from sliding foreword. You might want to take all the drawers out first. I’ve been in a few different heavy lifting situations and just by using leverage has been helpful. Sometimes a long crow bar can help start the leverage lift. It’s just a system that works for me as lifting heavy furniture in the past has made the move much easier.

Some soft toys are easy to name.

My sister was born in 1947.
In the early fifties, our dad won this in a raffle at work and gave it to her.

Of course, he had to be called Brumas after the polar bear born in the late forties at London Zoo, who was very popular.
She's still got him. Her daughter, when she came along, wasn't allowed to play with him.
He's very big. She did have him restored a bit a few years ago.

Here he's wearing his Wimbledon F.C. football kit.

A 1940’s teddy could be a vintage item , possibly worth a few dollars to collectors.

Use a car jack to initially lift it, them block it up with books like Pan said, or wood, anything sturdy. Then while its up attach legs, then jack it back down. Do one end a time.

    Sorry about that.
Here's the pictures from another hosting site.

The sideboard and coffee table we bought from Dwell

Either of the two halves of the top can be slid out sideways to access the storage below.

and the new chair will look like this one that's in the lounge, but without the blocks attached to the base which I put on, to raise it a bit, to make easier for her (and her friend) to get in and out of it.

In case my wife wants to use it as a change from this her other one. This has an additional, add on, "ring" base to lift it up.
