That's an amazing picture! Perfectly captured! We have New York 14th Street Pizza over here too - So I'm going to try that next! Meanwhile, this is what I eat day before yesterday.
Both look good to me but New York is a thin crust,, I prefer a thicker bread like crust,,, more yeasty !
Eating pizza can sometimes become a very messy affair, (specially if you're someone like me who can't live without ketchup). But at the start of the new year, and with so many coupons of different deals stuck in the windshield wipers of my car by random people - Is how I decided to give into temptation.
I wonder what real authentic Italian Pizza makers will have to say about New Jersey... https://www.pizzanapoletana.org/en/albo_pizzaioli https://www.italianfoodnews.com/en/...egulation-and-certifications-from-18-december https://www.essentialitaly.co.uk/bl...considered-for-unescos-cultural-heritage-list How about uploading some pictures?
The best pizza I've ever had comes from "Hungry Howies". It's over a 50 mile drive to the nearest one and back . They have flavored crusts, about six or seven different choices. The one I like is garlic and italian seasonong. They also have an Asiago cheese crust too.
When I was much, much, much younger, as a soldier in Turkey, I would spend leave time wandering local street venders and roadside cafes. Often I would be temporarily sent to village posts to replace medics who had finished their tours, or deserted (common, I never knew why), or got sick or injured. One of my favorite foods was Lahmaçun - also called Turkish pizza. It was meat and sauce on a thin crust. They were very delicious. I also liked other street foods - various doner kebabs, fish kebabs, and sandwiches consisting of rolls with some feta, tomato, and hot pepper. https://www.thespruceeats.com/turkish-lahmacun-recipe-3274265 https://claudiaskitchencreations.blogspot.com/2009/06/lahmacun.html Unfortunately, my adventures with street foods stopped when I contracted dysentery . My unwise theory that lots of exposure to street foods would bring about resistance, was proven disastrously wrong . It did get me out of going to a wedding that I did not want to attend, proving it's an ill wind that blows no good.
Lately I've been having "Mexican Pizzas", a corn tostada with refried beans, adobo sauce, and Mexican cheese. Or sometimes I use the tostadas with Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. I heat them for about 4 minutes (convection oven, 350F) then add the cheese and heat for another minute to melt the cheese.
