Thanks for that, but I've checked it.
If when the boiler is "on" and I turn the thermostat down past when it "clicks" it turns the system to "standby."
The "click" indicates what is the present temperature in the house. I set it at 22c. but it never gets up to that, by turning it down, when it "clicks" is the actual temperature in the hall where it is situated.
We don't close either our front room or dining room doors and the kitchen has no door at all. So the hall which has a radiator, will be the same temperature as the other rooms.
At the moment, it's "clicking" on 20c. as it's warmer outside today 3c, but if the temperature drops overnight, despite the boiler running continuously the "click" will happen at a lower temperature tomorrow. The radiators are hot, but not as hot as they used to be.
The boiler is six years old. It was serviced two weeks ago, so "something" must have been altered. We're on natural gas, like most of the UK.
I'm not over-worried, I'll let British Gas sort it out.

Today was laundry day, for bedding and towels.
We've a fairly new Bosch washing machine with a ridiculous number of programmes and touch buttons. Usually I just chuck stuff in it, turn it on and walk out of the kitchen. But today I was loading the dishwasher at the same time and I noticed, that the drum had started to turn slowly, but no water was coming in.

So I pulled out the instructions kept in the cupboard above the machine and looked to see what was happening. I eventually found some information which said to the extent that the machine checks the weight of the stuff you put in before it starts and alters the programme accordingly. It says it could take more than two minutes "checking." By then the water had started to come in and it was working!
Why can't it start straight away, like previous Bosch machines have?

Thursday walking around our close and up the road was a young lady, for a few hours she was walking up the road and coming back down and standing on the corner. At 5pm i was walking Berry around the front and the lady asked me where the local toilets were, She had Google maps but she didn't really know how to interpret them. I spoke to my husband and we agreed that she could use ours. She said that she was collecting for the Blue Cross charity, at 10am with 3 others in the same area she was dropped off outside ours and would be picked up 8pm, she would have to find toilets at the Macdonalds which is very far away. She said that she has to get at least 3 subscribers or she wouldn't get paid.

    I found this amusing today.

I pulled up into a space in Sainsbury's car park this morning and before I could get out, the front passenger door open and an elderly lady started to get in.
So I said, "Where do you want to go, love?"
There was a look of shock on her face as she realised she'd started to get into the wrong car!
There was another similar looking black car in the space next to mine, with presumably her husband in it, waiting for her.
She and I had a bit of a laugh about it, she apologised and closed the door.
A similar situation has happened a couple of times before over the years, so I'm always prepared with that "reaction," if it ever occurs again.

I had a similar event a few weeks ago. I parked in the Dollar Tree parking lot and when I left, the lady right behind me and I headed to our cars. Her car was the same color, year and model as mine. I stopped and started doing "Einnie, meenie, miney mo"" right out loud. She laughed as she was stopped just behind me trying to figure out, as I was, which car was hers ! !

A bigger embarrassment is when you're shopping and you put something in someone else's trolley instead of your own.

Funny how you folks call it a Trolley. In New England we call it a carriage and in the Southern States they call it a Buggy.

I successfully got into a resort like ultra luxury housing society at another beach. I was very sad about it, as I wanted that area to remain unpopulated by people, (I want to preserve the marine environment everywhere). But I was unsuccessful at stopping it.

I remained heartbroken about it for days. As I was defeated, and there was no point in trying to stop it legally. As nobody listens to anyone wip cares for the environment, (specially not when big construction companies and real estate developers are shamelessly bribing everyone left right and center).

But now that I've given the down payment and have the allotment letter in hand. Means that now I'm literally inside, and no power on Earth can get rid of me - So now I'm going to poison the development from within. And start filing my own Court cases in all directions!!!

At least that's not as bad as my experience. Because I remember a time when onions were in short supply in the vegetables section of the supermarket. So I took the time and picked the best ones for myself and put them in my shopping cart, (I really got the last good ones).

But the moment my back was turned as I was shopping for something else, somebody stole from my cart and put it in their cart.

Now I immediately knew what happened. So I searched in the shopping aisles, only to see very respectable looking lady walking around with my bag of opinions in her cart.

Of course, I couldn't do anything about it, as she would have made it look like I was either mistaken, or crazy, or both, (such toxic people who look good on the outside are actually very well trained to act innocent when put on the spot).

So I did something else. I followed her around, even when she got into her car I followed her with my car. Until she stopped somewhere to have lunch. Where I took out all 4 valves from her tyres, (as I always carry the valve opening tool with me for such situations).

Yes I got satisfaction, but I'm also sure she would still not have learn any lesson. Thus would never change her ways... But at least I ruined her day completely on that occasion.

I still have these valves from her tyres, kept them as a souvenir.

It's really a wonderful little tool, which I highly recommend you all too should carry in your cars. To teach someone a lesson, in a most comical way.

Totally different worlds, we seem to be living in... As we here often mechanically disable the central locking system of all new cars.

Because car jackets are ALWAYS waiting for such situations, (in certain areas of the city) - Forever on the lookout for your doors to be unlocked. After which they immediately get in, point a gun at you, then tell you to drive.

In response to this, I've trained myself (like many others) to take no chances and immediately shoot any stranger who tries to get into my car without permission. Because if the door opens and they are halfway in, you've already lost. So in certain areas of the city, I keep my gun in easy reach, yet still concealed in the car...

Over here we can get reward money from the governor house of the province. If it was established that you indeed removed someone from existence, who was already a wanted criminal. :smt045
