Nothing planned for today, it's damp but +7c.
I've some shopping to do, then I need to give my golf trolley and clubs a clean as it's my first golf day tomorrow, since before Christmas. There's a chance of rain, but it will likely be the least wet day of the week.

I checked for frost damage and that was all. The temp was supposed to go down only to 35 but it made it to 31 for a time. I had frost on my car windshield and some patchy frost in the low points of the yard but none in the raised beds, thank goodness. A gardening friend just 5 miles south had 29 and frost all over. She's in the country and I have extra heat from being in the city with all the black roadways.

I cleaned up the rest of the tree branches and trunks from the previous culling. All gone now. There are two small trunks to remove, then that job is done.

I found some bulbil heads from Egyptian walking onions, and planted them for scallions.

I cleaned ip two more strawberry boxes, removing dead leaves and old mulch, filling in some low spots in the potting soil and mulching with fresh arborist chips.

We went out to check on things. We had to check the traps and voice our plans for the plots. The soil is so wet, but some other folks’ plots though have standing water. We hung up a suet ball cage for the tits.

Went out in the rain and shovelled a flat area in the bank to put the wheelie bin on. Then cut the hedge to fit the thing in. Don't want it going walkabout again like it did last week

I just finished covering my whole garden up with hay. They predict between 25 and 23°f tonight. Unhooked the hose and covered the spigot up. It's 47°f now but there's an icy cold wind from the North. Feels like 38 and my hands froze out there. Ya can't very well gloves when covering plants up with hay.

I finished cleaning up the ever-bearing Ozark Beauty strawberry boxes. I cut off the dead leaves, removed old mulch, and covered the soil with a fresh layer of arborist chip mulch.

I noticed that there are some feral strawberry plants, descended from an old raised bed that I removed, years ago. I might pot them up as fresh plants. They appear healthy.

I also pruned two of the mini apple trees in the kitchen garden. Light pruning.

    Thanks @Sjoerd,

I've also observed that various types of bees - honeybees, bumblebees, tiny native bees - enjoy their nectar and pollen, too.

One oddity - I have seven of the plants. Six make bright red berries. One makes green berries.

Daniel— that is a curious thing. I have only seen the red ons on those in the municipal plots. Mine are all green. Curious. There must be some kind of crossing or something.
