Grey looking day but apparently we're in for a dry one, although it remains very soggy underfoot.

It started raining at 9:30pm last night. A light but steady rain continued through the night. I have almost 3/4" of rain in the rain gauge. It stopped right at 8 :15 am just after I got me and Rags all dressed up in our raincoats. It started back up shortly after we came in !!

Supposed to rain all day then turn to sleet and then snow for South Georgia while Atlanta and north is spared snowfall. This is just so weird !!

That's true, taxes are ridiculous in Jersey in the 70's I paid over a thousand for a three bedroom one bath house. Probably three or more times that now.

Jersey warms up so much in the day that with just a little snow the roads clear themselves. I hated the mud from fall through spring. One of the reasons I moved.

I dodged a bullet yesterday as far as ice and snow goes. They predicted the snow to come as far south as N. Florida but, the last minute it tracked north and east. It quit raining in mid afternoon. I got 1 and 1/4" of rain then, the skies cleared, sun came out, and it just got colder.

I'm pretty sure I lost most of my garden. Although I covered all that I could, it got down to 21°f and that was just too cold. I need a greenhouse, dang it !! Just for winter veg.

Anniekay, good that you missed the bullet, but shame about your garden.
