Good Wednesday morning all. Currently 3°C with light rain.
I'm still getting up bright and early, and theres always a lot of things running through my mind. I like to get stuff done early in the day and I'm so productive before anyone else is awake. Today I want to go and get some paint samples for my bedroom, and get some bookwork done. if the sun comes out later I may go for a ride on my ATV.
Have a great day all :)

@Netty - I'm pretty sure you already know about the heirloom seed Incredible Seed company. I appreciate their free shipping over $35 and affordable prices, although some packets can be small. (I do love supporting thier family business and enjoy their little handwritten thank you note on each order. )

Two smaller, not always well known, heirloom seed companies I use with great success are Wildrose Seeds out of Alberta and Saltspring Seeds in BC. They have limited items, but very good quality. If you haven't explored them yet, they may be fun to check out. Saltspring is the only source I've found for the Gold Nugget Buttercup bush squash, which is my go-to squash. Small spaces, meal size delicious squash and relatively compact and productive bush growth.

Exploring seed companies is fun! Enjoy!

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -1°C and overcast.
Up bright and early as always, and ready to face the day. We are off to the rink for the morning, then home for the afternoon. I have to go over to a friends later and take their puppy for a walk. Its going to be a mild day so I might ride over on my ATV.
@Melody Mc. Yes, I have used Incredible Seed Company and I like them. I also like Heritage Harvest seed company and recently found a small seed company here in Ontario called Happy Tomato. I keep looking as I'm having trouble finding Profusion Pink Zinnia seed from Canada. I do like exploring seed companies!
Have a great day all :)

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -11°C and overcast.
Yesterday was a horrible day all around. Weather has been terribly wintery and we had strong winds, snow, and very cold temperatures. It was one of those days that I had to plow the driveway every few hours so that it didn't get completely blown in. Today I will have to go out with the snowblower and widen parts of the driveway before todays blizzard fills it in again.
I'll also need to go out and do a gas run and get a tube for the snowblower tire. Always something around here. 58 days until spring.
Have a great day all :)

Good Thursday morning all. Currently -6°C and overcast. Looks like theres a bit of snow in the forecast today, and then sunshine.
Its Thursday, so its errand and shopping day again. We don't need too many groceries this week, but with the price of food these days I'm sure that it will still cost a small fortune.
Have a great day all :)

Went to Portland to my specialist doctor. That went well. Lots of traffic slow down. The bottleneck is the century-old Interstate Bridge across the Columbia River. I read they will start on a replacement bridge this summer. The dr ordered my twice-yearly CT scan.

On the way back, I stopped at a craft store, sort of like Joannes, which went bankrupt last year. This one does't have quite as much fabric, but still a good selection and fair prices. Also much friendlier staff.

I took the latest quilt to the Veterans' quilting group. They seemed to like it, which made me happy. I'm not active in the group, just make occasional quilts for them. I'm too introverted for meetings.

Today I will use the batch of starch I made yesterday, for quilting fabric. Then It's ready to start the next one.

Good Friday morning all. Currently -15°C and overcast with light snow. Its a cold one and its just going to get colder. Weatherman says we are getting the polar vortex this weekend and I'm not looking forward to it at all.
Heading into town to get some bloodwork done and then helping a friend fix a forklift. I'm the one that gets to pass the tools and turn the key haha
    56 days until spring.
Have a great day all :)
