Good Monday morning all. Currently -17°C and overcast. We had another snow event yesterday and overnight. I think its done snowing now, and I have a lot of plowing/shovelling to do! That will be todays exercise!

Happy Monday everyone. It is a bit of a slower paced day today, which is welcome. We were able to shift from running both woodstoves to just the one main stove today. Not getting up during the night or early AM to do fires will be nice tonight.

I'm happily exploring the two new seed companies that @Netty suggested. ( self control....self control....). I'm going to try growing pole beans again for the first time in many years. I usually lose them to frost at the end of August, but I'm hoping if I grow them on the high deck in front of the house, I can train them along the railing and maybe gain a few weeks of growing time. I'm the only "bean eater" in the family (unless they are pickled of course), so I don't need too many plants.

It's fun to search the sites and day dream of spring.

One of our children gifted us an Aura digital picture frame. I have loaded all of our old family photos and they have been adding theirs. It is like watching television as we sit and have our tea, enjoying the life time photos. Where does the time go?

Good Wednesday morning all. Currently -10°C and overcast.
Apparently I slept through an earthquake last night. It happened just about 11 pm. My kids heard it but I slept right through. I must have been tired!
Today I'm going to be sorting stuff in the garage. Went and bought some organizers so I'll be working on that today. And we have skating tonight so that's another day filled.
51 days until spring. I am ready.

I'm procrastinating doing my regular errands because of the cold, but I guess I'll have to get myself together and do it. The high today is only expected to be -15°C.

Good Saturday morning all. Currently -22°C feeling like -29°C and clear skies. Brrrr, chilly start to the day.
I'm headed out with both dogs for a walk before we head to the arena. Always fun trying to walk 2 crazy Shepherds at once haha
This afternoon might be riding or cleaning garage, we'll see what the weather does.

@Netty and our fellow Canadians have been sharing their weather with us in New York LOL. Well froze last evening no water, landord has it fixed fingers crossed. Today Mostly sunny and cold, with a high near 19. Light north wind.Tonight a low around 3. Wind chill values between -10 and zero.

Good Sunday morning all. Currently -24°C feeling like -33°C with clear skies. Brrr.
Today is going to be a beautiful day, and the high is going to be all the way up to -8°C! After our recent temperatures, that should feel very warm!
I had a good day yesterday, headed out for a mini adventure on my ATV after a morning at the rink. I saw a friend I haven't seen for probably 30 years too, and we did some catching up. This afternoon I would like to get out and go for another ride when the temperatures warm up a bit, and enjoy some sunshine. I need to find myself a riding partner, but for now I'll go solo. Netty— oh, that sounds great! I it reminds me of living in Alaska. There I had a snow machine in stead of what you have. What a delight it was to knock- around on that thing. I can just picture you tuffing-about on that thing.

 

Good Tuesday morning all. Currently -6°C with light snow falling. After the temperatures we have had, -6°C feels like a picnic.
Off to get an oil change done on my car, and then to return some pants to the store. Might do a little window shopping while I'm out as well.
My seeds order from Incredible Seed Co arrived yesterday. I am ready for spring! Good thing too ... our groundhog predicted an early spring!
