I luv abelias and azaleas they are the evergreen bones in the garden and faithful bloomers every spring. I’m surprised and happy they do well there too.

Question … about the truck that cleans up your yard debris you carted to a ditch… ? Lucky you… Geez I’m lucky they pick up just my weekly trash . Half the time I get notices left on my trash can that they don’t take this & don’t take that , and you can recycle xyz. What do they do now X-ray the trash cans now!

Yes, we have ditches because the side streets don't have a drainage or sewer system, just the main streets do. I live on a corner lot and have a ditch on one side. We are not allowed to burn anything so, we have a big truck with a big arm that rotates around and this big hand is on the end which grabs up the yard debris then it swings up and around and dumps it in the truck.

When I was living in Germany we had 4 different trash cans. One for yard debris cut into no bigger than about 18" long, one for paper, one for plastic and one for kitchen garbage.
The garbage men DID take a cursive look and if you had something not right, they did not empty the container at all and you got a note.

Then, you had to take glass and ceramic stuff to a special recycle area where one dumpster was for white glass, one for green glass, one for brown and one for clear. The one on the far end was for anything made of clay: pottery, crocks, dishes, etc. So, don't complain !! You could have been born in Germany !! :smt044

It got up to about 40 today. So more snow is melting. That makes it muddy, which is just as slick as the ice. I have been trying to get the dog poo cleaned up.

I did go through my seeds and made a list of the seeds that I have, and a list of more seeds that I want... My indoor stuff is doing well.

I was out cleaning up, and fell and landed on my shovel. Ouch. Thankfully, I am okay, just bruised on my left leg. I fell Friday also...

Ooo sorry … ouch…:setc_088: Falling is a cursive to possible serious injuries. Please be careful… slow down and be mindful of every movement. It’s a jungle out there and as we age ourselves we tend to forget that sometimes we are not as athletic as we once were.
